CRM migration field mapping: standard fields start right

Shuttio's field review now starts Name, Email, Phone and Job title on the destination's own field and uses its object names in Attio, Clarify and Odoo.

Last updated: 28 October 2026

On Attio and Clarify, Shuttio's field review now starts a source's standard fields on the destination's own field, not on "New field". Standard objects carry the destination's word, such as Contacts and Opportunities in Odoo. The Roll back hint now names the destination you picked.

What changed

Standard fields start on the destination's field. On Attio and Clarify, the field review has a column headed "In Attio" or "In Clarify", and rows with a choice show a select there. Standard rows now start on the destination's own field instead of "New field".

Objects use the destination's word. Shuttio mirrors the source, so people, companies and deals land in the destination's standard objects. The field review and object tabs now show the destination's name for them:

Destination People Companies Deals
Attio People Companies Deals
Odoo Contacts Companies Opportunities

Each object tab reads "source object → destination object · field count", so a source's people tab on Odoo points to Contacts.

The Roll back hint names the destination. On an Odoo migration it reads:

  • "Removes everything this run created in Odoo."

How to use it

  1. Choose the source and the destination on the first step, then connect both.
  2. Tick the objects to move. Shuttio reads every object of the source live.
  3. Open the field review. Each ticked object has its own tab.
  4. On Attio or Clarify, check the rows for the source's standard fields. The "In Attio" or "In Clarify" select should already show the destination's field.
  5. To send a row elsewhere, open its select and pick another field. "New field" creates a field of its own, and you can rename it.
  6. On Odoo, use the Odoo section of the same screen for the source's own fields. Each one goes into an existing writable custom field, a new one, or Skip. A new field is offered only when the connected key may read and add Odoo fields.
  7. Start the free sample and check real records. The result screen shows the counted total and "Run full migration". The price is shown before the full run starts.

What it does not cover

  • Odoo has no "In Odoo" select on standard fields. Its field choices sit in the Odoo section, so the starting-field fix applies to Attio and Clarify.
  • The change renames and preselects. It does not change which records match. When Odoo is connected with an API key, Shuttio still matches companies by website domain and contacts by email before creating anything, and a matched record is never written to or removed. The Odoo import package does no matching.
  • Roll back still keeps what it did not create. A record that already existed and was matched stays.

FAQ

Does this change my data or the price? It does not change the price. It changes labels and the field a standard row starts on, so check each row's select before you start the sample. The sample is free, and the price for a Clarify or Odoo CRM migration is shown before the full run starts.

Do I need to redo a field review I already finished? Reopening the review starts from the suggested mapping, because Shuttio does not store field edits between visits.

Why does the Odoo review show "Contacts" when my source says "Persons"? The tab shows the source's name on the left and the destination's name on the right. For an Odoo migration, Shuttio uses Contacts for people and Opportunities for deals.

Does a CSV import behave the same way? A CSV import is free for every destination and starts as the full run, without a sample.
