Free sample CRM migration steps: pick, connect, sample

A Shuttio migration between two connected CRMs now takes three steps: pick the source and the destination, connect both, and press Run sample migration. Shuttio maps the fields for you and copies a free sample, so you can check real records in the new CRM before anything else moves. Changing the mapping is optional.

What changed

The Attio page and the home FAQ now describe the same three steps the product follows:

1. Pick your apps. Choose where the data is now and where it goes.
2. Connect both. Sign in to the source and the destination.
3. Run the sample. Shuttio ticks the objects the Objects step starts ticked, maps the fields automatically and writes the sample.

The sample follows one rule: 5% of your companies, contacts or deals, 10 to 1,000 records, picked at random, with their linked records. Lists and files are not part of the sample. They move with the full migration.

The home FAQ has a new answer to "What does the free sample do?".

How to use it

1. Open a new migration. Under "Where is your source data?" choose the source. Under "Where do you want to import your data?" choose the destination. The sources are HubSpot, Pipedrive, Affinity, Attio and CSV. The destinations are Attio, Clarify and Odoo. Affinity to Odoo is not supported.
2. Press Connect accounts, then connect each app on the next screen. The connections belong to this migration only.
3. Press Run sample migration. The other button, Customize before running, opens the Objects and Fields steps first. There you tick objects and review fields before anything is written.
4. Open the result in the new CRM and check the records.
5. If the page says "N fields were not mapped automatically", read the list. The sample ran without a place for those fields. Shuttio will not start the full migration until you have reviewed them.
6. Press Run full migration. Into Attio the full migration is free. Into Clarify or Odoo it is priced once per migration by record count, from $249 up to 50,000 records to $4,749 up to 5,000,000. The price is shown before the full run starts.

If the sample is not right, cancelling rolls back what the migration created, in reverse order.

What it does not cover

• A CSV has no sample. Claude guesses what each column holds, you can change every guess, and the file imports in full. A CSV import is free for every destination.
• Changing unmapped fields after the sample depends on the destination. For an Attio destination, the review panel has a Review fields button. For other destinations, the mapping cannot change after a sample. Roll back the sample and start again with Customize before running. Mark as reviewed clears the full-run block in both cases.
• The sample is a slice, not a preview of every record. Lists and files wait for the full migration.
• Not every pair exists. Affinity to Odoo is not offered.

FAQ

Is the sample free? Yes. The sample is free for every destination. Cost starts at the full run: Attio is free, and Clarify and Odoo are priced by counted records, shown before you start.

Do I have to review the unmapped fields? Yes, before the full run. The sample never waits on them, but the full migration does. Review them, change the mapping where your destination allows it, or press Mark as reviewed.

Does Claude touch my records? No model writes your data. The only AI step guesses the type of each CSV column. Connection credentials are encrypted and deleted 14 days after the run.
