Pipedrive Projects not on plan: migration still runs

When your Pipedrive plan lacks Projects, Shuttio marks the object as not available instead of showing an error, and the rest of the migration goes ahead.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

If your Pipedrive plan does not include an add-on such as Projects, Shuttio now treats that object as unavailable. It is no longer reported as a read error. You can leave it out and migrate everything else.

The same change affects match keys. If a key you picked on the Fields step is no longer offered, the start stops and tells you to choose again. If you never picked that key, Shuttio uses the default key and starts.

What changed

Missing add-ons. When Pipedrive reports that an object is not part of your plan, Shuttio now labels it "Projects: not on this Pipedrive plan". Before, the same case was labelled "Could not read Projects from Pipedrive", followed by the raw reason.

Match keys. Each object has a match key, the field Shuttio uses to find a record that already exists in the destination before it creates a new one. The Fields step shows the key for every object.

Two cases can now occur at the start:

  • You picked a key from the list the Fields step offered, and the destination no longer offers it. The start stops with this message: "The match key you chose for [object] is no longer available. Open the Fields step and choose a match key again."
  • A saved key was never in the list the Fields step offered, for example a draft saved before the list changed. That is not a choice you made. The plan falls back to its default key and the start goes ahead.

How to use it

  1. Pick Pipedrive as the source and your destination, then connect both.
  2. On the Objects step, read the list. An object your Pipedrive plan lacks is not a tick box. A muted line under the list names it, for example "Not moved: Projects (not available from your account)."
  3. Tick the objects you want and select "Review fields →".
  4. On the Fields step, check the match key of each object. Change it if the default is not the field you want.
  5. Start the free sample and check the result.
  6. If the start stops on a match key message, go back to the Fields step, choose the key again, and restart.
  7. When the sample looks right, select "Run full migration". The price is shown before the full run starts.

What it does not cover

  • An unavailable object stays unavailable. Shuttio cannot migrate it, and it cannot change what your Pipedrive plan includes.
  • If an unavailable object is somehow still selected when you start, the start refuses: "Cannot migrate: Projects. Untick it, or reconnect the source."
  • A missing add-on is a different case from a missing Odoo app. Into Odoo, Projects also need Odoo's Project app, and the Objects step says so when that app is absent.
  • The match key check does not pick a key for you. When a key you chose is gone, you choose again.
  • A CSV import is stricter. A key that is not offered is always refused, because the keys are columns of your own file.

FAQ

Does a missing add-on stop the whole migration? No. The unavailable object is not offered, and the objects you tick migrate as usual. Only a start that still includes the unavailable object is refused.

Why did the start ask me to choose a match key again? You picked a key on the Fields step, and the destination no longer offers it. Shuttio does not swap in another key without telling you, because a different key changes which records count as duplicates.

I never picked a match key. Will the start fail? No. Shuttio uses the default key for the object and goes ahead.
