Objects

Step 4: tick the objects to move and see where each one lands.

Last updated: 28 October 2026

The Objects step ("What should move into Attio?", with your destination's name) lists what your source holds. Each row shows where the object lands, for example "→ People", or "→ Leads (new)" when the destination does not have that object yet.

  • Record objects (contacts, companies, deals, products and so on) get one row each.
  • Notes, tasks, meetings and lists appear on one line under "Also move", with a Files row where the pair has one.
  • A note, task, meeting or call logged on a lead goes where the lead went. If the lead was converted, it lands on the deal, person and company the lead became (a destination whose notes take one record uses the deal first). If not, it lands on the lead's own record. If neither moved, the run's report names the lead, and the run's summary says how many went to each.
  • Only objects that can move into your destination are listed. One Shuttio could not read from your account is left out and named once, on a muted line: "Not moved: …".
  • Lists and custom objects are offered only if their Options switch is on.

For a CSV there is one row, your file. You choose which object it becomes: an existing one, or a new one (a new object is offered only when the Custom objects switch is on).

Nothing is written in this step. The ticks are saved as you go, so a later step or a link in the side rail opens with the same choice. Continue with "Review fields →".

What each pair can carry is in the support matrix. An object the destination cannot take is not offered.
